When I am finally retired from the education business or whatever I find to pay back the credit card, I will try to do my part and hunt up some venues for Baren. Maria, hang in there. The world should see your prints! They are gorgeous! The recession hits everyone, try not to take it personally, as they say (boo hoo, boo hoo). My husband says, don't take it personally that all the regular teachers decided to go to work today--you might have a nice day at home. I am going to finish cutting the boards for the big print, apply for my supplementary credential in English, finish the next chapter of Excell, contemplate writing a dissertation on the possible correlation between the use of textbooks in art and literacy test scores. Maybe if I went for a PhD, I could get enough student loan money to pay for all those books I bought in anticipation of teaching art. I feel it is a great resource for artists working on paper and thought I would share with the list. NO, I don't get commission on subscription sales! Here is their ditty: "Art On Paper: The World's Premier Resource on Fine Art Prints, Drawings, and Photography The January-February issue explores the current state of research on and marketing of prints, drawings, and photography. Aside from feature articles on Ackerman, Guston, the 1940s journal The Tiger's Eye, and Sugimoto's Noh, this issue features one of the only articles ever to expose "Peapod Style" engravings to a general public. Mostly posters that have fairly high prices and are copys of work in other media. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news....They represent poster galleries and distributors and commercial art printers.
