Residence shouldn't be a major hurdle, under the circumstances. Only someone from Chicago could shoot themselves in the foot like this! I will send lots of votes and buy a few printmaking supplies to help with the "campaign". Or even if it is only on the web....wish we could see it. Take lots and lots of pictures. McClain's carries it, but just re-ordered. She published this article in Japan Times. April www.aprilvollmer.com ------------------------------ From: "Jeanne N. Things have been so hectic here that I am late in answering all of the e mail from all of the wonderful people in the group. This is really my support group and would not have come through this so well without all the good wishes, like yours. Luv Jeanne ------------------------------ From: "Jeanne N. It is funny how all the little things seem so important. I found an old license plate that I had on the wall, when I lived in California. I found it in the debris. The plate was; AOK123 Had to keep that one and now still have it. luv Jeanne N. ------------------------------ From: "Jean Eger Womack" Date: Sat, 19 Jan 2002 12:19:19 -0800 Subject: [Baren 16739] Re: Baren Digest V18 #1690 Good Luck, Dean, in your run for state assembly. Well, some people are good at being politicians and certainly they are needed, because someone has to lead us. Having talked to you for a long time in San Francisco at the Amsterdam art show, Howard and I would surely vote for you if we could. I am not even going to ask whether you are a Republican or a Democrat. Jean Eger Womack P.S. You know what they say, if you're rambling, you're not running. ------------------------------ From: ArtfulCarol@aol.com Date: Sat, 19 Jan 2002 17:30:04 EST Subject: [Baren 16740] Firemens Benefit Hi, John Center came here yesterday bringing the Benefit prints received so far. We talked and talked , covered some details and had a wonderful visit. He saw the gallery space and was very pleasantly surprised. He left this afternoon in our first snowfall. It is so special to meet another Baren member! The prints are so POWERFUL and heartfelt! I want to thank the printers who followed the size requirements so their print slipped right into the plastic clear bags. We agreed that it will look good and work very well.. Other prints will require ordering skiughtly wider bags. (That word is "slightly", a misspelling indication of how we felt when the prints didnt fit.) Whose print is "Jake's Rescue Dog"? Couldnt make out the signature and didnt want to guess. We are missing a handful of prints. I will e-mail you separately after I shovel snow. Never heard whether mine made it. Bea Gold ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V18 #1691 *****************************
