It includes good advice on assessing your camera needs >(pointing out that maximum megapixels are necessary for all needs), and >tests and reviews of 26 cameras. Of course, the article is relevant even >if you don't have a Mac. Thank you for this information, Jack....it is a good magazine. I bought the Australian Macworld on Digital Cameras today and after reading the pros and cons decided to stick with my handy little "ordinary" camera and scan my Kodak photos in and fiddle with them in Photoshop (I don't have too many "flops") but will certainly look into the digital technology when I am upgrading my Mac computer system and printer.....I can always borrow the work camera..... I would rather take the plane to the USA and Canada again at this stage than upgrade my computer that much next year....Woodblock cutting and printing much cheaper!!!! Thanks Jack, Jan Perth Western Australia. ------------------------------ From: FurryPressII@aol.com Date: Wed, 21 Nov 2001 09:52:53 EST Subject: [Baren 16191] Re: product report One good point about corian the Maria forgot to mention (she is right about the other things on corian) is that you can get it in all most any size up to 12 feet long by 30 inches now that would be a large engraving. Spent 3 weeks working on one 12 by 18 inches. Currently working on an engraving 12 by 30 inches in corian which i intend to print as an intaglio, corian works either as a relief or an intaligo matrix. john center ps. It is always wise to check any product that is of a laminate nature to insure it will not spoil your tools. The glues used to laminate can be hard on tools. Even the top quality Shina has an wearing and abrasive action as compared to blocks of cherry or basswood. I have experienced this problem with the Baltic and Scandinavian plywoods and will never used them again. Marco what was your experience here? We are looking at 22x30" paper, right? If I am confused, perhaps others cannot remember the size either or are as blind as I am. I just want to make sure I am doing the right size of paper. Hope all you bareners in the USA have a happy thanksgiving or at the very least enjoy 4 days off work! I hope to get some studio time in, even after eating all that turkey. I look forward to being able to be in the studio every day...maybe in my next life!
