Along with Barbara, I will say Bootcamp under Graham's tutelage was the most encouraging class I've ever taken--the lessons were all there and we had a great deal of intensive time during that week to really get our hands into Hanga. I could have used another Bootcamp and had hoped to attend again next year, but the chimney is falling down and we need to spend the money on that. But if I can go back another year, if it's at all possible, I will. I still feel shakey doing it on my own, but it was so easy with Graham nearby to show how we could repair what seemed irreparable. That's why I need another year (at least) at Bootcamp. Plus, I miss everybody. I didn't think anyone would see it....the majority of the article is about Susan Rostow, her family and her waterbase monoprint ink. I am happy to be part of a move toward non-toxic printmaking. And congratulations and thanks to all of you on the Board who are moving Baren along. Wow, lots of behind the scenes work! I will miss David's voice, but hey, Baren can't stay a one man operation. Saturday, December 9 the Lower East Side Printshop at 59-61 East 4th Street, NYC is having an open studio, if anyone is interested. I will be there showing some work. They always offer some good deals in prints. Like $5 for the little ones! I forgot the name of the shop but if you are in San Francisco it is worth it to stumble upon it and feel that you have made a wonderful discovery. I'm going back in a couple of weeks to get a chop made, hopefully for the snake print. Checked it on Netscape 4.7 and 4.05 and Explorer 5 and everything works like a tin whistle.
