Dear Mrs Jessen,
as I have already dealt with a similar situation, I found three ways out
of it:
1. Use of Scrapboard (commercial product, 22x32 cm, white coating and
black ink cover, may be hand-painted with aquarelle)
2. Wax crayons on heavy paper (200gr +) and then covered with
water-soluble paint of a dark toned colour, more like a mezzotinto effect,
and
3. Use of coloured papers and/or semi- or transparent folios to emulate
the Japanese print multi-plate colouring. A black-ink contour may add to
the final effect,

Thanks to all who gave the working link to Carol Lyon's site.  What a
pleasure.

Kate Courchaine just let me know that I still have a link on the members'
website page of the woodblock site.  Dave, I am sorry I spaced out when I
changed carriers and didn't give you a new site address.  Anyway, that is
another non-working link.    I intend to redo my pages, and that is what I
should be doing now but obviously am not.   The older I get, the faster time
whips on by.

I promise I will re-do my pages and send a working link, just please don't
hold your breath!
