Baren Digest Wednesday, 4 October 2000 Volume 13 : Number 1166 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: "Bea Gold" Date: Tue, 3 Oct 2000 11:22:49 -0700 Subject: [Baren 11557] new printing style charset="iso-8859-1" Hi Bareners, I've been busy with body things the last few months - after knee surgery - broken femur - just out of the brace after 5 months and my husband Jack ended up in the hospital for 6 days with heart stuff. We are both OK now and I've just cut the first block for my "Comedy of Life". I've been talking (e-mail) with Ray (from Vermont) Hudson about his lovely Chinese printing method. Ray has been wonderfully helpful and I'm going to try it on this print. There appears to be nothing written on the method so I'm going to try to put it together for the next Baren-Suji with Rays help and words. . I can't wait to try it Maria and all, the Oct. Baren-Suji is lovely! Thank you. I may learn web design yet! Comments and advice are appreciated. I hope to see more bareners represented this year. The juror is Wayne Kimball, who draws all of his intricate plates by hand, still. Go to www.stonemetalpress.homepage.com to find links to the call for entries and entry form. It should print out if you use your browser print button. Or, e-mail me for an entry form: legreenart@cs.com. The original purpose of this show was to educate the public and local artists about the prints being made now by artists.
