We all like the idea of a show 3 or 4 times a year and we are all competitors by nature. Julio did the calculations after the show was set up,...and tragically he had to sell one of his children,...folks let's let this not happen again!!!! Figuring out prices BEFORE the act is a better way. If someone says it's going to cost $1500.00 per entry,....and he or she has been talking about the warm skies of Reo, let's be a little suspicious,....but if the figure is say $31.84 plus a check for your return postage,..I think it's a go! Anyway,...it's a good discusion,..we are fairly reasonal people and this CAN be resolved! One day,..... Thank you one and all,....10 corrections to go,....May Thor give me strength!!!! I sent my money to Julio but have not been able to send the $25 for the Uganda exhibition. With the present exchange rate and bank fees, it would cost me about $70 Australian dollars. This is about my weekly wage at the moment, I don't know how I'm going to pay this. If Baren did start charging a membership fee I would not be able to stay in the group. The Exchange exhibition that I am looking into having in Melbourne (this is at least a year away) is in a very prominent position and would have, I think at least a million people passing through a month. I think that if I get this venue it would be easy to get sponsorship. I'm thinking that a computer related company perhaps an internet provider would like to be associated with it. I will bring the tool to Boot Camp and you will see what I have been thinking was a chisel. A teacher, that's what I need, now. Oyster shuckers don't cut wood very well, even sharpened, but I gave it my best. Oh, I so wanted it to be a little "find" that I could resurrect to what I thought was its original cutting glory. Maria, I'd like to thank you for the extra information regarding the difficulty of out of U.S.A.ers to send their prints. Since I am the captain of the next exchange, I need to know all this 'head of time. Gayle ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V11 #989 ****************************
