Speedball waterbase ink has been pretty thoroughly not recommended by Bareners. I have never tried to print with it, so can't say from my personal experience. But, if you are trying to print with waterbase on Hosho - you are doomed to failure. Well, maybe not doomed - that sounds so final. It is not a sized paper. You have to either size it yourself or buy some sized paper. _This_ I have had experience with. I love the paper, but not for Hanga or any kind of dampening! I'd like to send one. Good news, Carol Lyons! Congratulations on your sale at the Skokie show. Maria, I think your expressive art, your prices and your energy are what people are drawn to. It will make you successful where others aren't. Your booth probably exudes charisma. I like your description of the event. Dan, I know this belongs on Baren After 5, but the canoe event happens to us all at one point. I saw a couple of young men from India do just what you did (they were our guests for a canoe outing) and lucky for them the water was waiste high. But one of them started laughing after it happened and said "I want to do that again!" Gayle (Burton Ohio, USA) ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V11 #977 ****************************
