I have a woodblock, I suppose its the key block as its the black color, that was heavily carved on 1/4 ply and is now warped, I assume from the moisture. It is only a few lines, with everything else carved down, so there is not a lot of structural integrity to the piece. How can I straighten this again? Would rewetting it and then putting it under pressure make it flat again? Thanks. Last year I had that experience with a SHIRLEY BELWOOD, NYC. Doesn't answer mail or telephone message machine calls. I am still trying. Any information or suggestions? Maybe screw it down flat to the table before trying to print on it ... *** This came in just now (off list) ... Can somebody maybe answer her for me please? Things are a bit crazy here just now ... This works for me. ------------------------------ From: Cucamongie@aol.com Date: Tue Jun 20 21:20:12 2000 Subject: [Baren 10136] new leaf editions Hi all, I just went on the New Leaf editions website, apparently it was updated as of June 18, and one of the webpages had this message: "Art works have been juried. The top 15 prints will be placed on the web for viewing so please visit our web site for continuous updates. We wish to thank everyone for their submissions and we will be contacting artists in the near future." - ------- so for those who entered, perhaps they are planning to get back to us somewhere in the not too distant future. We'll see.... For those in the Chicago area, I have several prints up in a show of prints & drawings called "Her Mark" which is opening June 23rd from 6-9 pm at Womanmade Gallery, 1900 South Prairie Avenue, Chicago. Phone no 328-0038. It seems like an interesting gallery, would love to hear an "onsite report" from anyone in that neck of the woods.
