It keeps me from injuring my fingers. I haven't had a bandage since I started using it. You guys look like you were having fun together at the West Coast meeting. Thanks for sharing, Maria. I love getting a chance to peek at other people's places on the planet. Josephine, are you chatting everyday at the same time? I'm going to be gone for a week starting in a couple hours, but I want to get in on the chatroom when I get back. Sorry I have to miss today's. Pete, I just looked at your website. Very attractive. I like your Sacred Tree print for its strength, and the figure of Odin hanging from that insistent noose! The runes, too, are an interesting addition. By the way, your mom looks like a teenager. And, you dear Pete, are younger than my youngest son. I have often wondered about sites that have the advertising spots that pop up in the form of and extra window or even attached to the body of the main window. Do you get paid for this advertising? How much? I Have A Suggestion When Putting Images On The Web. When you have a small gif and it is linked to a larger jpeg I notice that the size of the jpeg is such that it can not be seen on a smaller (14") computer screen. It is the vertical images that cause the most problems. I generally find that if you have to scroll to see the image ...... like forget it..... you will loose your audience.... well me anyway. This has been a discussion amongst web site designers and it is a BIG no no.... I could also suggest that you indicate some info re the image..... size., number of impressions, price and anything that will be informative for your viewer. Pete....

Sticking up a picture does not cut it.....

The site was put up just so I could show my stuff to my family and friends, and I never originally thought I would be using it for anything useful. Upgrading it to a public level of quality is one of my current projects. Thanks for the suggestions, though. As far as the advertisements go, I can't get rid of them, because they are built into the page, which is provided free by Yahoo!Geocities.com. You get 15 Megabytes of space in exchange for the irritating advertisements. I look forward to the day when I can afford to go to a private provider, but right now free is all my budget allows. - --Pete ------------------------------ From: Don Furst Date: Thu, 02 Mar 2000 14:25:37 -0500 Subject: [Baren 8708] Re: New Baby At 01:25 PM 2/29/00 -0500, you wrote: >barbara > thanks for posting this message >don > i will light candles for your little girl i pray she will be well >georga > Gayle, Barbara, Georga, and other kind Baren folks, Thank you for your encouragement.
