Sarah, I am so happy to receive your print (my first ). I love the loose, relaxed character you created... she's got personality! Thanks! Do not dilute the Wintergreen oil. You don't need very much. You can hand print them, a wooden spoon works well. And practice makes perfect. With Wintergreen one needs lots of practice. - -Amanda ------------------------------ From: amoss@mindspring.com (John Amoss) Date: Thu, 9 Dec 1999 17:59:15 -0500 (EST) Subject: [Baren 7085] re: wintergreen Josephine and others: I have been able to get a 16 oz. (473 ml) bottle of wintergreen oil (synthetic) for $13 US at a old-time pharmacy. The health food store had 1 oz. for the same amount- I am assuming at that price it isn't synthesized. I want to say however that the laquer thinner seems to work best for me- although my liver might not agree. I like to add that either technique requires burnishing after application for the toner to adhere to the block. Good luck. - -John Amoss ------------------------------ End of Baren Digest V9 #816 ***************************
