So many opportunities, only one scrawny body to go around... Bea, all I need is a couch or spot on the floor, have sleeping bag, will travel. I used to be able to sleep on a tree branch but I'll be 40 by January an' dem bones hurt a wee bit more now. Set a date and count me in. Georga suggested late January or February, probably a good idea, I vote for the weekend of February 5/6 but you are the hostess. April, I'm there! If I make plans and start saving now, I should be able to make MA by August. Send info as soon as you have it. Barbara, Portland Art Museum permanent collection, what an incredible opportunity! Thank you, I will be sending you bio immediately; wow, Bareners getting around in the world. I'm stoked right along with Pete. You bet you can put that on your resume/vita. Well, that fills my calendar for 2,000... Brand Gallery and Art Center Opening is December 12, 3-5pm, in Glendale California. I received a Patron's Purchase Award for Dissappearance; the show is Works on Paper, and the Gallery is gorgeous and really caters to works on paper, including the LAPS show yearly. I'm triple stoked (I just like to say stoked). Art's happening at the Baren!!! I will come if I can. It would be such fun to meet everyone. This web site has really been a boon to us all I think. In the past I often felt I was working in a void, busy on my own stuff, getting little feedback and seeing few other artists. It's been wonderful to hear from printers around the world and see so many new works and styles. I finished a new print yesterday which always feels like such an accomplishment but no time now to slow down, its on to the next one. I will put it on my web page but first I have to photograph it and send it to the page designer so no need to look yet. I received the GarrettWade catalog today at work, and have spent quite a bit of time daydreaming and drooling over beautiful woodworking tools. Much to my delight, they now have a website. If you click on the below hyperlink, be prepared to stay a while! http://www.garrettwade.com They carry a wide array of Japanese tools, as well as stuff for lathe work and the like. Saws, planes, mallets, knives, sharpening stones... There are simply so many nifty things for the tool junkie, they are certain have _something_ to make your life as a printmaker more pleasurable. Like Julio, I think that I shall move back to California. Andrea Congrats, your work is soo neat , it is no wonder that you are having such success. well, I hope my puter does not blow up as I opened the first Open sign on the e mail and then the warning came on and I deleted the whole thing. And it came re; the Portland Museeum and with Johns name so naturally I thought it was ok. How on earth do people get these things and why?
