I enjoyed Matt's sales and work tent. I'm always impressed with what people come up with for their display areas at craft shows. You have to be a nomad at heart for this. * * * Jeanne, the white line woodcut process reminds me a little of how I do my oil based color prints. I use separate blocks for colors, but I keep my paper attached to the board and just keep sliding in the new color block when I'm ready for it. So I do a whole print at once. This seems to be the only way I can register correctly. It works like a charm, too. I tape mine either with paper surgical tape or removable scotch type tape. It just takes a long time to do each print. You only find yourself doing a very few at a time. * * * Yesterday at the Wetlands, right after I saw your red dragonfly print, Dave, Shane and I saw a red dragonfly--one of the last of the season. I said hello to him and scared him. I will yet learn to keep my mouth shut in nature. I am so exuberant and want so to communicate, but the human voice isn't the way. And his wings by the way certainly shown like the mica dust. Also enjoyed your conversation with the great nephew of Frank Morely- Fletcher.
