Excuse the 'extra' posting this morning, but things are busy over at the Encyclopedia. The girls have just finished their new page, and they are eager that you see it ... A lot of useful techniques- I especially like how you tie the end of the string to help in winding. I bet your dad learns a lot from you guys. Thanks again! - -John Amoss ------------------------------ From: Jack Reisland Date: Thu, 08 Jul 1999 16:09:02 +0000 Subject: [Baren 4895] Re: Encyclopedia update ... To Himi and Fumi: Thank you both for your pages on the making of hakobi. This is the sort of information that can't be found anywhere else, and you both did a very good job of presenting it, as well as showing some nice pointers along the way, just the sort of stuff that it would have taken me too long to figure out, like tying the string to the bench. I can't wait to see what's next! Jack ------------------------------ From: Jack Reisland Date: Thu, 08 Jul 1999 16:15:00 +0000 Subject: [Baren 4896] Re: barens To David, Graham, et. al. Is there an ideal diameter for a baren, or are different diameters useful in different situations? Does the hand size of the printer enter into it? What would be your considerations if you had to choose one size to start with?
