Baren Digest Tuesday, 16 February 1999 Volume 06 : Number 449 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- From: Cucamongie@aol.com Date: Mon, 15 Feb 1999 09:38:34 EST Subject: [Baren 3062] Re: Wood patch?? >on someone's reccomendation I purchased the ZAR wood patch to fix little > and a tad bigger than little imperfections on my plate... I use Elmer's Carpenter's Wood filler - it's good for little patches (little cracks, holes, etc) although it can be a little crumbly for bigger patches - just apply w/a putty knife, let dry & sand it - it is waterproof - Regards, Sarah ------------------------------ From: "Bea Gold" Date: Mon, 15 Feb 1999 08:34:38 -0800 Subject: [Baren 3063] Re: introduction Hi Shireen, I just spent time in your looking at your work and reading about your family - lovely - I too am a new member of Baren and have enjoyed looking at the member's work. Web page coming up for me soon. Like many of those on Baren, I receive the posts in digest form. This requires me to scroll through a rather long series of messages in order to read a day's posts. Yesterday, Jean (also on the digest, apparently) hit reply and didn't delete the text beneath, so an entire copy of the previous day's messages were sent along. Okay, that could have been a simple mistake... fine. However, in Graham's attempt to illustrate that mistake, he compounded the problem by copying and sending that complete message again! Now, we digest readers (and Dave as editor) have to sift through _two_ complete reproductions of the previous day's digest! Please, please, please edit before you hit that send button! Yep. This has been mentioned several times and the problem persists. So in order to make a point I purposely included all the blah blah blah of those posts so people understood and hopefully did do it again. I really thought that a picture is worth a thousands BLAHS...... Am I getting repeditive......Good just possibly the folks will understand that you don't have to post all the blah blah blah... .....BUT just enough to continue the tread. No I know I am getting repeditive. cya Graham ------------------------------ From: "Jean Eger" Date: Mon, 15 Feb 1999 13:55:16 -0800 Subject: [Baren 3066] forgot to delete previous letters from digest reply Nobody's perfect. I would like to mount a print made with oil based ink on Owara mulberry paper on black silk. Any suggestions on marrying paper and silk? Would the traditional wheat paste hinges work, or should I paste the whole thing? Help this poor lowly rookie, won't you?
